Retail : Guangzhou Xuni Dongli (广州虚拟动力) Company announced via its official Weibo that it is launching the “Ego Diyirencheng Shijiao Shuju Caiji (Ego第一人称视角数据采集)” service, deploying it in offline physical bookstore scenarios. The service is positioned as a multimodal dataset collection tool for embodied intelligence and robotics landing in bookstore retail environments. According to the company, the project employs customized collection schemes and lightweight wearable headset devices to replicate the first-person perspective of store clerks’ eyes, comprehensively recording the complete business workflow of clerks in real operating environments—including book placement and repositioning, shelf organization, inventory counting, cashier settlement, and book retrieval—while simultaneously collecting dual-lens RGB video, IMU inertial data, spatial pose, and 3D hand pose information, achieving frame-level alignment of visual, motion, and temporal information. The company stated that the collected raw data will undergo privacy desensitization, image correction, and human-machine collaborative annotation processing to generate a bookstore-specific standardized multimodal dataset that can be used to train vision-language-action models (VLA) and world models. The goal is to transform the real service experience of human clerks into digital assets readable by robots, accumulating foundational training data for humanoid robot deployment in bookstore applications in the future.
