Zhongtu Yunchuang (中图云创智能科技（北京）有限公司) is the state-owned culture-technology company of the China National Publications Import and Export (Group) Corporation (中国图书进出口（集团）有限公司), a China Publishing Group member, and the builder of Turang / Libraverse (图壤), a reading-metaverse engine platform released in December 2022 that declares virtual digital humans among its key technologies alongside AI, VR/AR and ultra-high-definition interaction. Registered in September 2018 in Beijing Chaoyang and operational from 2019, the company is a National Culture and Technology Integration Demonstration Base whose XR work has served the Beijing Winter Olympics and CIFTIS.
Its digital-human showcase is Marco Polo (马可·波罗), an AI digital human trained on the Travels of Marco Polo that answers visitors’ questions in real time; it debuted at the 2024 “Marco Polo: Journey of Wonders” immersive exhibition co-hosted with the Shanghai Library at its East Hall, and deputy general manager Chen Xi (陈曦) presents it among the company’s Turang-engine applications together with the VR Woodblock Central Axis and MR Age of Awakening. The company’s registered capital stands at RMB 100.55 million with legal representative Lei Jianhua (雷建华); the digital-human production sits with this operating company rather than with its publishing-group parents.
