The Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism (浙江省文化广电和旅游厅), at 53 Shuguang Road in Hangzhou’s Xihu district, is the Zhejiang provincial government department for culture, broadcasting and tourism, whose registered legal representative is Chen Guangsheng (陈广胜). It succeeded the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism (浙江省文化和旅游厅), whose registration has been cancelled.
The draft of its guiding opinions on new cultural-tourism business formats and consumption (the final version was issued in September 2026) called for virtual digital human commentary, digital light-and-shadow and metaverse halls to be widely deployed in scenic areas, museums and public cultural spaces. It guided Wasu Media (华数传媒)’s November 2024 “Poetic Painting Zhejiang” cultural tourism card, which bundled access to more than a hundred scenic sites with a digital human AI capability platform, and co-guided the August 2025 Mo Pu 110th-anniversary exhibition at the Zhejiang Art Museum, which used digital human generation among its curatorial techniques. It aims to cultivate at least twenty provincial smart-tourism immersive experience spaces by 2027.
