Xuzhou Medical University (徐州医科大学) is a provincial public medical university in Xuzhou, Jiangsu, under the Jiangsu Department of Education. Its teaching digital human 外科元博士 (‘Dr Yuan of Surgery’), a study-assistant digital human built by the General Surgery course team of its First Clinical College together with the online-course platform XuetangX (学堂在线), won second prize at the 2nd Education Digital Human Contest run by the China Association for Educational Technology in May 2025. At a 2026 Jiangsu ‘AI + healthcare’ salon the university also presented a ‘digital humans going to the countryside’ (数字人下乡) model that carries its tiered-diagnosis system out to county and village clinics. The university’s purchases of digital anatomy tables, sold as 数字人解剖台, are a different technology.
