Virtual idol and IP agencies

Warner Music China is the mainland China arm of Warner Music Group, operating through Asia Warner (Beijing) Music Entertainment Consulting Co., Ltd. (亚洲华纳(北京)音乐娱乐咨询有限公司). In June 2026 it announced a comprehensive strategic partnership with the virtual-artist agency DreamMaker (造梦师), described as the first time one of the three global major record labels had systematically entered China’s scaled virtual-livestreamer and virtual-idol business. Under the deal DreamMaker’s virtual artists — among them Kong (控), a Douyin voice-stream virtual singer, and Ji (寂) — became the first virtual artists to receive full-chain support from a mainstream music label, covering music releases, promotion and live events; Kong’s August 2026 fan meeting at Shanghai’s Jing’an Sports Centre sold out on release with fourteen brand sponsors.
