Ulanqab City Library (乌兰察布市图书馆) is the municipal public library of Ulanqab, Inner Mongolia, under the city’s Culture, Tourism and Sports Bureau, in Jining New District. In May 2026 it launched the AI digital-human librarian 图豆豆 (Tu Doudou), modelled on the local potato and dressed in a cowboy hat and Mongolian robe, which serves readers around the clock online and on in-library interactive screens with consultation, collection search, AI reading guidance and spoken practice in 65 languages, linked with the city’s 11 banner, county and district libraries. 图豆豆 was selected as a 2026 Inner Mongolia ‘AI + culture and tourism’ application scenario and had answered more than 7,500 consultations, with answer accuracy above 95%.
