Tongcheng Network Technology (同程网络科技股份有限公司) is the Suzhou operating company behind the online travel platform Tongcheng Travel (同程旅行), and the developer of Chengxin (程心), the travel-industry large model that powers its AI digital human offerings. Incorporated on 10 March 2004 as Suzhou Tongcheng Travel Network Technology (苏州同程旅游网络科技有限公司), it merged with eLong in March 2018; the Hong Kong-listed parent Tongcheng Travel Holdings (同程旅行控股) is a separate legal person, and this record keys the mainland operating entity.
程心 was the first travel-industry model to complete both national generative-AI filings, in September 2024, the same month it was selected as a Suzhou municipal AI large-model demonstration project with a five-million-yuan award. It integrated DeepSeek in February 2025 to launch AI-driven real-time itinerary planning and booking inside the Tongcheng Travel app. Beyond the consumer product, the company sells the model’s capabilities to government and enterprise partners as paid services that include AI digital humans, cultural-tourism data forecasting and digital cultural-tourism dashboards; at a December 2024 Suzhou Industrial Park technology launch, the park administration presented the Chengxin Suzhou digital human (程心苏州数字人) as the company’s own development.
