Tencent Music Entertainment Technology (腾讯音乐娱乐科技(深圳)有限公司), registered in Shenzhen in February 2017, is the technology company of Tencent Music Entertainment Group (TME), whose main mainland operating company is Tencent Music. It holds more than 1,300 of the group’s patents, and the work of TME’s audio and video research lab, Lyra Lab (天琴实验室), is filed in its name; in 2023 it also applied for the 文曲 model trademarks, including 文曲天琴.

Lyra Lab, set up in 2020, launched its first virtual human, Xiaoqin (小琴), on 24 October 2022 during TME’s TechME technology week in the group’s virtual social space TMELAND, and followed her with a second virtual human, Xiaotian (小天). Since 2024 the lab has released the open-source virtual-human generation frameworks MuseV, MuseTalk and MusePose, and in 2025 its image-driven digital-human technology powered a virtual companion version of the actor Tan Jianci (檀健次) on QQ Music.

The company’s digital-human patents, with Lyra Lab researchers among the inventors, include a video-generation method that corrects the lip shapes of a dynamic face video to match a vocal track (CN113901894A, filed September 2021), an audio-video synthesis method in which a 3D virtual animated character reproduces a user’s movements while recording a song (CN116528016A, filed April 2023) and a method for processing a lip-sync generation model (CN120298578A, filed March 2025). It also owns the copyright in Zhumian (祝眠), QQ Music’s virtual idol, a girl styled in the service’s brand green.
