Tencent Music (腾讯音乐娱乐（深圳）有限公司), registered in Shenzhen in July 2016, is the main mainland operating company of Tencent Music Entertainment Group (腾讯音乐娱乐集团, TME), the online-music and social-entertainment group within the Tencent family.

TME’s first audio and video laboratory, Lyra Lab (天琴实验室), launched its first virtual human, Xiaoqin (小琴), on 24 October 2022 during TME’s TechME technology week, held in the group’s virtual social space TMELAND, where she performed alongside TME’s virtual idols Xiao K (小K) and Shanbao (扇宝); a second virtual human, Xiaotian (小天), followed as her sibling. Since 2024 Lyra Lab has released the open-source virtual-human generation frameworks MuseV, MuseTalk and MusePose, and in 2025 QQ Music applied its image-driven digital-human technology to a virtual companion version of the actor Tan Jianci (檀健次).

In June 2024 the company’s 腾讯音乐未伴虚拟人合成算法 passed the national deep-synthesis algorithm filing. It creates virtual humans for the 未伴 app from a face image, a style image, sample audio and a written persona, and the resulting characters produce text, images and audio. A separate group company, 腾讯音乐娱乐科技（深圳）有限公司, holds TME’s technology patents, including a 2025 application for a lip-sync model.
