The Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism (四川省文化和旅游厅), at 2 Qinglian Shangjie in Chengdu’s Jinjiang district, is the Sichuan provincial government department for culture and tourism, led by Party Secretary and Director Chen Guanghao (陈光浩), who is also a deputy head of the provincial Propaganda Department.
Its flagship digital human is Anyi (安逸), a panda-shaped “time-space companion” built on a cultural-tourism large model for the “Anyi Sichuan” (安逸四川) brand. Anyi held a live on-stage dialogue with a presenter at the department’s 2024 Sichuan Digital Cultural Tourism Development Conference in Ya’an in September 2024, and the original was produced by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism’s Visual Fusion Scene Experience Technology Innovation Center in Chengdu, for which the department is the guiding authority. In December 2024 the department procured an “AI Anyi Panda” (AI安逸熊猫) project, funded from its 2024 tourism development fund, and its affiliated Sichuan Culture Hall runs Anyi as an AI mascot. Historical-figure digital humans have multiplied across the province, including Young Li Bai (少年李白数字人, 2023), the Su Shi Q&A digital human, Little Zhuge (小诸葛) at the Chengdu Wuhou Shrine Museum and the Du Fu digital human at Du Fu Thatched Cottage.
