Sichuan Cover Media Technology (四川封面传媒科技有限责任公司), known as 封面科技, is a state-controlled technology company in Chengdu’s Jinjiang district. It was set up on 8 June 2021 by Cover Media (封面传媒), the digital-media arm of Sichuan Daily Press Group, together with the China Internet Investment Fund and a Sichuan cultural-industry fund.

Its digital-human work shows in its patents. In December 2024 it applied for a patent on a digital-human expression-driving method (CN119760088A) that tags answer text with emotion labels and intensities and blends the resulting emotional visemes with speech visemes, so that a digital human’s face shows a suitable emotion while it speaks; the application names virtual assistants and virtual anchors as uses. An earlier application, filed in December 2023, covers a method for driving a face from speech (CN117456063A). The company also builds media large models and AI tools for newsrooms, including the 智媒云 model, which completed its generative-AI registration with the Cyberspace Administration in 2024.
