Shanghai Museum (上海博物馆) is one of China’s principal museums of ancient Chinese art, holding major bronze, ceramic, calligraphy and sculpture collections. It is registered as a 事业单位 dating to 20 December 1986, also carrying the plate 文物保护科技中心, with the collection, custody, research and public exhibition of national cultural relics as its declared scope.

It is a cultural-sector customer for digital-human production. With BesTV (百视通) it brought its Chinese Ancient Sculpture Gallery to a broadcast and streaming context under a “cloud” presentation model, combining high-definition 3D generation of flat cultural relics, dynamic extension of scroll paintings, life-oriented reconstruction of wearable jewellery, and digital-human techniques to animate the figures — heritage reconstruction rather than a virtual docent.
