Shanghai Media Group (上海广播电视台) is the municipal broadcaster for Shanghai. The station itself is registered as a 事业单位 with the Shanghai institutional establishment commission office, under 宋炯明, at 南京西路651号 and 威海路298号. It operates as 一个机构两块牌子 with 上海文化广播影视集团有限公司, a wholly state-owned company incorporated on 31 March 2014 under the Shanghai municipal government with registered capital of 5 billion yuan, headquartered at 威海路298号 in Jing’an.
