The deployment is part of a coordinated effort by Beijing institutions to bring digital cultural IP into Xinjiang’s tourism promotion, with Hotan serving as the site for introducing high-production synthetic characters to audiences in the south of the region — a clear instance of a digital human travelling from the city that made it to a place that uses it.
