Finance under the filing regime
Postal Savings Bank of China (中国邮政储蓄银行), the state retail bank spun out of China Post in 2007 with the country’s largest branch network, has run digital humans in customer-facing banking since the technology’s early adoption wave — and, unusually for a deployer, holds its own algorithm filing: the 邮储银行生成合成类数字人驱动算法, a deep-synthesis digital-human driving algorithm the bank registered with the CAC in April 2024, generating voice, motion and expression from speech and voiceprint signals for 2D high-fidelity and 3D realistic or cartoon personas.
The named roster is long. Its smart-counter virtual teller Xiaolan (小蓝) was selected among the 2023 top-10 digital human practice cases; the Chongqing branch’s digital employee Xiao You (小邮), built with Zhongguancun Kejin (中关村科金), entered IDC’s AI digital human best-practice report in 2023; and the mobile app carries the 3D digital employee You Xiaobei (邮小贝) alongside the 3D mascot 智慧小邮, with the cartoon digital-employee artwork registered as the bank’s own copyright. Deployment has scaled from pilot to network: the Gansu branch rolled digital humans across all 124 self-operated outlets under its cloud-counter model, “云柜数字人” assistance is credited with a 40% lift in manual-review efficiency, and in 2026 the Digital Employee (数字员工) went live at the Chongqing branch, opening to the public first at the Chongqing Direct Sub-branch. On the systems side the digital employee is maintained enterprise infrastructure: a 数字员工系统 procurement for small-sample digital-human and video-production software development was won by SenseTime’s Shanghai arm for 2.59 million yuan in December 2025.
