Ocean Engine (巨量引擎), registered as 北京巨量引擎网络技术有限公司, is ByteDance’s marketing services company and holds the ICP filing for oceanengine.com (京ICP备17021358号).

It runs 即创 (Jichuang), an AIGC creative platform for advertisers on Douyin, whose voice-cloning rules name the company as its provider. In early 2024 即创 added marketing digital humans: advertisers choose from more than 3,500 digital-human presenters, clone a voice and generate short videos and livestream material from a script. That year Ocean Engine offered traffic incentives to merchants whose advertising used 即创 digital-human videos, and worked on a digital-human co-building project with 派瑞威行, a subsidiary of 浙文互联.
