Ningxia Shengtian Cai Digital Technology (宁夏盛天彩数字科技股份有限公司) was established on 27 February 2008 and is registered at the IBI Incubation Centre on Ning’an Street in Yinchuan’s Jinfeng District, with 侯文瑞 as legal representative and registered capital of 27 million yuan. It is a national-level animation enterprise with subsidiaries in Shanghai, Wuhan and Tianjin — the oldest and most established of Ningxia’s digital human companies.
Its position in the digital human value chain is as a producer, arriving from animation rather than from AI. In October 2023 it launched the Yuan You Ningxia (元游宁夏) metaverse cultural tourism platform, built with VR, AI, blockchain and 3D rendering, presenting twenty-one of Ningxia’s best-known scenic spots as digitised environments. Its defining feature is a class of interactive virtual characters the platform calls meta-protagonists (元主角), offered alongside cloud tours, virtual exhibitions, virtual performances, digital collectibles and social features.
The launch carried official standing from the start: it was attended by 蔡菊 (Cai Ju), Deputy Secretary of the CPC Ningxia Committee Propaganda Department and head of the Ningxia Culture and Tourism Department.
The company listed on the National Equities Exchange and Quotations board in 2014 under code 831721, described at the time as the first cultural and creative industry company from the northwest to do so; its shares later carried an ST marker and the listing has since been withdrawn, so no ticker is recorded here. Its two domains tell the same story from opposite ends: stc831721.com, which spells its board code into its own name, does not respond, while metanx.cn is live and serves the Yuan You Ningxia platform itself.
