NextHuman (唯物(杭州)科技有限公司) is a Hangzhou technology company focused on super-realistic 3D digital humans, described in industry coverage as “the company behind the digital-human companies” (数字人公司背后的公司). Its NextHuman engine is a consumer-grade super-realistic digital-human livestreaming engine with makeup, wardrobe and micro-expression reproduction driven by its own AI algorithms, and its production tooling compresses high-precision digital-human face modelling from the traditional two to three weeks to two to three days, with faces above 85 percent similarity to their human originals.
The company’s digital human Bai Xiaochou (白小绸), online since late 2022, took the industry-leading award at the 2024 digital-human debate contest judged across eight large-model-driven digital humans — a Yuhang district double showing the district government celebrated. Founded on 6 May 2021 in Hangzhou’s Yuhang district with registered capital of RMB 1 million, the company is led by founder and CEO Wu Jingchou (吴靖仇), a 3D/XR/AIGC product technologist, with Fan Yong (范勇) as legal representative; it raised a seed round in February 2024 from Hupan Shannan Capital, Amoeba Capital and Jingchen Investment. It presented its platform-and-tools approach on the enabling side of the Digital Human Development Promotion Forum.
