Nanning Vocational and Technical University (南宁职业技术大学) is the Nanning-sponsored vocational university (upgraded to university status from the former Nanning Vocational and Technical College) that has made digital humans an instrument of Zhuang intangible-heritage preservation. Working with Zhuang-brocade (壮锦) master weavers including national-level inheritor Tan Xiangguang (谭湘光), who keeps a master studio on campus, it created an AI intangible-heritage digital human and used high-definition imaging to record the full weaving and patterning process, feeding a dedicated Zhuang brocade digital gene library (壮锦数字基因库) that has completed semantic annotation of more than 300 traditional patterns — work attested by Economic Daily under the university’s “digital-intelligence empowerment, value reshaping” heritage program, with the results distributed through heritage short videos, an online exhibition hall and a converged-media matrix. Its Art and Media College also produced the AI mountain-song music video “Ni De Ya” (《尼的呀》) for the Xingning District mountain-song gala in April 2026, in which intelligent robots and an on-screen virtual digital human performed a synchronized opening dance.
