Migu Xinkong Culture Technology (Xiamen) (咪咕新空文化科技(厦门)有限公司) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Migu, China Mobile’s digital content arm. It was established on 18 December 2014 and is registered at 1133 Jimei Avenue in Xiamen’s Jimei District. It was formerly Migu Animation (咪咕动漫有限公司) and rebranded in 2023 to reflect a shift towards metaverse technologies, 5G and AI; the registered code was retained through the rename. Its registered scope covers professional design services, software development, digital content production and the sale of toys, animation and amusement products, and its own business description puts metaverse technology and application-platform development at the centre, resting on China Mobile’s computing network.
Its position in the digital human value chain is as a producer, and it ships both a public-facing character and the production system behind it — a combination few producers manage.
In April 2024 the Fujian Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism debuted Xiao Fuduo (小福多多), the province’s official cultural tourism digital human, at the Global Travel Merchants (Fujian) Conference in Quanzhou. The character was created in partnership with China Mobile Fujian and Migu Xinkong, and performed in a music short drama promoting Fujian’s Maritime Silk Road heritage by interacting with historical figures.
Its production work has been recognised nationally. The company’s Digital Avatars and Original-IP Digital Humans project (数智分身数字人与原创IP数字人) was selected for the 2025 Metaverse Typical Cases list issued by the ministries, filed under Xiamen for entertainment IP. In February 2026 it was named as an applicant, alongside related China Mobile entities, on a patent for a virtual-human motion-generation method that drives pose and movement from a pretrained music-generation model, framed as a way to cut the cost of producing virtual human motion. Its research footprint includes a joint centre with Tsinghua University-affiliated labs, whose published work on stylised 3D digital humans and on how appearance stylisation and synthetic voice affect user trust was disseminated at IEEE VR 2025.
The company holds its own registration rather than operating under Migu’s, which is why it carries a record of its own; the group’s other digital human work sits on the China Mobile record.
