The Jiangxi Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism (江西省文化和旅游厅), which also carries the name Jiangxi Provincial Bureau of Cultural Relics (江西省文物局), is the Jiangxi provincial government department for culture and tourism, led by Party Secretary and Director Mei Yi (梅亦).
It is the project unit for “Cloud Tour Jiangxi” (云游江西), a digital cultural tourism platform approved by the provincial Development and Reform Commission on 7 August 2025, whose six modules include digital human management alongside recommendation, knowledge-base and large-model engines; its officials have named large models, AIGC and digital humans as the technologies the “Digital + Culture and Tourism” programme will push. Its “Poetry Tour Jiangxi” (诗旅江西) promotion, launched in April 2024, featured the Tengwang Pavilion’s virtual Wang Bo, a digital human that grades visitors’ recitations of the Preface to the Tengwang Pavilion and gives guided commentary, which the department cited in its March 2025 reply to a provincial CPPCC proposal as an example of digital humans in scenic-area service. Its 2025 “Joy Tour Jiangxi” (乐游江西) short-video campaign with CCTV accepted digital human videos among its formats.
