JD Technology (京东科技信息技术有限公司), registered in Beijing in July 2017, is the operating technology company of JD Group’s technology business, the group behind JD.com (京东). It is wholly owned by 京东云计算有限公司 (JD Cloud), and the business is held under 京东科技控股股份有限公司, which traded as JD Digits (京东数字科技控股股份有限公司) until May 2021.
Its artificial-intelligence team builds the Yanxi (言犀) digital humans, marketed under the JD Cloud brand as 京东云言犀, that are used for livestream selling on JD; the company filed the JD digital-human image synthesis algorithm (京东数字人形象合成算法) behind the Yanxi digital-human AIGC content platform, which entered the second national list of filed deep-synthesis algorithms in August 2023. The team’s base models, the speech-synthesis model LiveTTS and the general digital-human model LiveHuman, generate a 4K digital human with matched lip movement from a natural-language prompt or a one-second video or photo, and were presented as cutting the cost of producing a digital human sharply. Yanxi digital humans have run as standing hosts in more than 9,000 brands’ livestream rooms, with over 14 billion yuan in sales attributed to them; a digital human modelled on JD founder Liu Qiangdong (刘强东), “采销东哥”, hosted JD’s own livestreams. The company, with the University of Science and Technology of China and other partners, won the 2025 special prize of the Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Award (吴文俊人工智能科学技术奖) for multimodal interactive digital-human technology.
