Huawei Cloud (华为云计算技术有限公司) was registered in Gui’an New District, Guizhou, in December 2019 and is wholly owned by Huawei (华为技术有限公司). It runs Huawei’s public cloud.
Its digital-human work centres on MetaStudio (数字内容生产线), a content-production service whose services include stylised, photo-based and clone (分身) digital-human creation, voice production, audio and text driving and intelligent interaction. The company has filed a series of MetaStudio digital-human algorithms with the Cyberspace Administration of China as service technology supporter: the photo-modelling algorithm (网信算备520111252474601230033号) in August 2023; the visual-driving, clone-driving and voice-driving algorithms, which entered the fourth national list of filed deep-synthesis algorithms in February 2024; and a clone voice-production algorithm in the seventh list in August 2024. It also files digital-human patents, among them an application for video livestreaming based on digital-human technology (CN120318381A). Yunsheng (云笙), the digital employee Huawei introduced in September 2021, was built on Huawei Cloud technology.
