My Film and Television Culture Media, registered as Guangzhou My Film and Television Culture Media Co., Ltd. (广州我的影视文化传媒有限公司) and written without the city prefix in most press coverage, is a Guangzhou Panyu producer and operator of AI virtual artists. Established in September 2019 with 1 million RMB registered capital, legal representative Fang Fei (方菲), it grew out of a decade-old advertising-production and MCN operation under the short name My Film (我的影视), and has held a commercial performance licence (营业性演出许可证) from the Panyu district government since 2022.
The company is the production house behind the viral AI short drama The Girl Who Got Laid Off (《被裁掉的女孩》), whose total plays passed 200 million, and the IP operator of its lead, the AI virtual artist Fang Taozi (方桃子) — a virtual model-blogger character whose account gained over 250,000 followers in thirty days and whose 60-second video advertisement was quoted at 258,000 yuan. Fang Taozi appeared on the cover of COSMOCRUSH, the e-magazine channel of Fashion COSMO (《时尚COSMO》), a collaboration the company’s operations head CQ CHAN disclosed was done at zero compensation. After a colored-contact-lens endorsement drew a false-advertising controversy — the team acknowledging it had missed that contact lenses are regulated as medical devices — the advertisement was taken down and the company suspended all advertising deals to focus on content. Its stated pricing history reflects the same stance: the ad quote was raised from 70,000 to 258,000 yuan expressly to deter commercial orders.
Beyond Fang Taozi and her co-lead Zhou Yiheng (周以衡), the company is developing the Taoyuanshan Sisters (桃园珊姐妹) series of virtual characters — Taozi, Yuanzi and Shanshan — with a London-set drama led by Shanshan planned as its next production.
