Guangxi Tianneng AI (广西天能人工智能应用技术服务有限公司) is an AI application technology company established on 17 July 2023 and registered in Nanning, at Room 506-2 on the fifth floor of No. 2 R&D Office Building, Hetian Information Port, 95 Luban Road. Its legal representative is 黄艳 (Huang Yan) and its registered capital is two million yuan.

Its position in the digital human value chain is as a producer selling directly to consumers, which is rare: most producers sell to brands, broadcasters or government bodies. In February 2024 it became the first verified local startup in Guangxi to commercialise digital human resurrection — creating an interactive AI representation of a deceased person modelled on their recorded appearance, voice and manner of speaking. Co-founder Zhang Yuqiang launched the company’s Reappear a Loved One (再现亲人) service, offered in three tiers priced between 500 and 6,000 yuan with production times of about one week.

Demand was real rather than demonstrative. By late March 2024, as the Qingming Festival approached, the company had received between 300 and 400 consultations and completed more than ten orders. In April 2024 Xinhua’s photojournalists visited its Nanning office and documented the technical process by which staff produced a digital resurrection, giving the national news agency’s own visual record of the practice at a Guangxi company.

The service sits in the most ethically contested corner of the digital human market, where the subject cannot consent and the customer is bereaved, and it is recorded here as a commercial fact rather than as an endorsement of the practice.
