Government service delivery · Scenic-area service

The Gansu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism (甘肃省文化和旅游厅) is the Gansu provincial government department for culture and tourism, whose portfolio includes the Mogao Caves at Dunhuang and the Silk Road heritage corridor.

Its 2025 “Internet Stars SHOW Scenic Areas” (网络达人SHOW景区) campaign with the provincial broadcaster brought in digital humans and XR for the first time, alongside scenic-area livestreams with local influencers. On 12 September 2025, at the China International Fair for Trade in Services, it released “Ruyi AI” (如意AI), a cultural-tourism AI agent for the “One Phone, Tour Gansu” platform, developed under its lead by China Telecom’s Gansu company and Zhongdian Wanwei. It co-hosted the 2023 Western China Cultural Tourism Integration and Tourism Commodity Trade Fair in Lanzhou New Area, where exhibitors showed digital human tour guides, and the 2023 Computing Power Technology Conference in Lanzhou, whose main forum included a “natural person, robot and digital human” track. At its 2025 Smart Cultural Tourism Showcase in Wuwei, deputy director Wang Zhigang called for closer work with Gansu Telecom, Gansu Mobile and DeepSeek-class large models.
