Future Shape Interactive Entertainment (未来形状; legal entity 未来形状互动娱乐（西安）有限公司) is a Xi’an studio established on 7 September 2021 with registered capital of one million yuan, its executive director and general manager 何翔 as legal representative, and offices at 西咸新区沣西新城云谷二期3号楼15层1507室 — matching the 610132 Xixian New Area division in its code. It is registered in the entertainment industry, and its scope of business covers virtual reality equipment manufacturing, sales of digital cultural and creative technology equipment, and art agency.
It is a digital human producer, and its work is a first of its kind. In June 2022 it developed Qin Xiaoya (秦筱雅), unveiled by Xi’an Performing Arts Group (西安演艺集团) at the 9th China Qinqiang Opera Arts Festival as China’s first Qinqiang opera virtual digital human. Designed in the young female dan role, Qin Xiaoya appeared in the festival’s promotional music video Chang’an Night (长安夜), performing a fusion of Qinqiang and rock alongside the Shaanxi musician Wang Jianfang.
The technical ambition of the character is visible in a single component: her head ornaments alone were sculpted at over seven hundred thousand polygon faces, against a typical thirty thousand for an entire character model. The company sits in the same Xi’an cluster as the province’s other heritage-facing digital human work, where an opera form recorded as intangible cultural heritage is the subject matter and the digital human is the means of carrying it to a younger audience.
