Fujian Daily (福建日报), the Fujian provincial party newspaper — registered as 福建日报社 (福建日报报业集团), the Fujian Daily Press Group — operates digital humans across its mastheads rather than merely reporting on them. Its best-known face is Haixingxing (海星星), a digital human reporter with her own Baidu Baike entry, run through the group’s Strait Metropolis Daily (海峡都市报) as the core IP of that paper’s “Million Digital Humans Plan” (百万数字人计划): she co-fronts the “星星看” segments with human reporters, delivers youth-voiced policy explainers during national and provincial Two Sessions coverage, and posts as a CityWalk blogger on Xiaohongshu, where single items have passed a hundred thousand likes.
