Daxiangyuan (大象元数字科技股份有限公司) is the operating company of Daxiangyuan (大象元), the metaverse platform Henan Broadcasting launched on 10 January 2023 as the province’s first metaverse-themed digital platform. The state-owned joint-stock company was incorporated that April in Zhengzhou with RMB 50 million registered capital, held 70 percent by Henan Network Radio and Television and 15 percent each by the broadcaster’s metro-channel and satellite-channel media companies, chaired by Wang Gang (王刚).
Digital humans are written into the operation’s charter: the platform integrates motion capture, AI voice generation, AI film editing and digital-human technology, and its dedicated laboratory with the Henan radio-and-television administration researches virtual-scene production, digital humans and motion capture as its stated focus. The company has announced a digital-human livestreaming base to push digital-human economy applications, launched the Daxiangyuan AI creation and application platform in June 2024 — built around an “Eastern aesthetics” model library of thousands of high-precision 3D assets — and authored the Eeasten virtual-reality digital-media asset standard now in national-standard application. Separately registered 大象元 companies in Shanghai and Beijing are different legal persons; 大象元（河南）文化科技有限公司 is this company’s wholly-owned subsidiary.
