Chuangxiang Shuwei (创想数维; legal entity 深圳市创想数维科技有限公司) is a Shenzhen-based XR virtual production company founded on 5 February 2021 and a subsidiary of the listed display manufacturer Aoto Electronics (奥拓电子). It is registered in Nanshan District’s Gaoxin industrial area and files under 粤ICP备2022100957号.

In December 2023 it completed a Pre-A funding round of tens of millions of yuan from Shenzhen HTI Ventures and Shenzhen HTI Luohu Fund at a post-investment valuation of 145 million yuan, with proceeds directed toward research and development on the next-generation MetaBox XR virtual production platform and on AIGC digital asset generation tools. Its product stack pairs MetaBox with the Coruscant rendering server and the Vormir AI creative toolkit. By the end of 2023 its parent Aoto had completed 67 XR and virtual production studio projects globally, for clients including Nvidia, Tencent and Amazon.

In 2026 the company released the XR-and-AI hybrid drama “Shh! She Is a Dream Ferryman” (嘘!她是渡梦师) in partnership with Aotuo Sports Culture Investment and Sony China, using MetaBox with Coruscant and Vormir to cut scene production costs by roughly 60 percent.

It is a digital human producer, and virtual digital humans are a core business line rather than an adjacency. Aoto Electronics established Chuangxiang Shuwei in 2021 specifically as a digital content production company to supply virtual digital humans, naked-eye 3D and XR virtual studios, and the company describes its two principal business carriers as digital-world creator tooling and “intelligent digital human solutions and supporting technical services” (智能化数字人解决方案及其配套技术服务). Its digital humans are self-developed (自研虚拟数字人). A named deployment: a virtual digital human it produced served as the virtual lobby manager in the “future bank” digital human experience area of a state-owned bank’s exhibition space. In 2022 it signed strategic cooperation agreements with three MCN agencies covering virtual IP characters including digital humans and virtual idols, and it was admitted to the Metaverse Industry Working Committee of the China Mobile Communications Federation.

Banking is its most repeated deployment sector. It has supplied virtual digital humans, naked-eye 3D and digital creative content to several large state-owned banks, and at the 2022 China International Fair for Trade in Services it built a digitalised bank installation for one of them. Its stated business shape is a “software plus hardware plus content” platform resting on two carriers — LED-screen-based XR virtual shooting solutions, and intelligent digital human solutions — with partners including 中凯品牌, 联萌传媒 and 栖金科技 across film, television and MCN.

The XR virtual production business sits alongside that rather than in place of it: the company has made its overseas debut at IBC in the Netherlands, appeared at the 2024 Hong Kong FILMART, and supplied XR for the Bay Area Innovation Talks (湾区创讲) programme. In March 2026 its MetaBox Studio small-format virtual livestreaming room won the ISLE 2026 Innovation Gold Award, positioned as bringing broadcast-grade XR within reach of individual creators and small businesses.
