Working with Hangzhou Maitu Live (杭州麦兔直播), the company evolved AI digital-human livestream hosts through three generations, from a stiff cartoon-puppet 1.0 to a 2025 3.0 “digital-twin host” that, as Xinhua’s Chongqing channel reported, near-perfectly clones a real anchor’s face, voice and manner, connects to an industry large model for a working “brain”, reads product-page detail and viewer add-to-cart behaviour in real time and streams around the clock. Deputy general manager Zhang Mingxue (张明学), profiled in Chongqing Daily’s “my AI workmate” series as the project’s driver, framed the system as filling the late-night livestream market human anchors cannot staff; about a fifth of the company’s clients have adopted the digital-human hosts, and its AI lines — spanning selection, copywriting and advertising-law compliance checks — are credited with twenty percent GMV growth across a client base of more than eight hundred merchants.
