China United Network Communications Corporation (中国联合网络通信有限公司), incorporated on 21 April 2000 and registered on Financial Street in Beijing’s Xicheng district, is the operating company of the China Unicom group: a wholly owned subsidiary of China Unicom (Hong Kong) Limited, it runs China Unicom’s telecom services through its provincial branches.
Its Zhejiang branch (中国联合网络通信有限公司浙江省分公司) runs the customer-service digital human Mengxiao AI (萌小AI), built on Unicom’s Yuanjing (元景) MaaS platform and drawing on large models including DeepSeek, ERNIE and Qwen; it answers customers on the China Unicom app, Douyin and Baidu and in nearly 1,300 Zhejiang Unicom shops. Its Guangdong branch, with Unicom Wo Music and Unicom Digital Technology, submitted the immersive metaverse and digital-human solution (沉浸式元宇宙及数字人解决方案) that the Ministry of Culture and Tourism selected as an excellent national smart-tourism solution for 2024.
