Tianyi Cloud Technology Co., Ltd. (天翼云科技有限公司), branded CTYun (天翼云), is China Telecom’s cloud-computing company, established on 1 July 2021 in Beijing with legal representative Hu Zhiqiang (胡志强) and registered capital of about RMB 47.6 billion; central SOE shareholders joined at its 2021 unveiling, and it positions itself as the “national cloud” (云服务国家队) built on China Telecom’s cloud-network integration. The parent carrier is recorded separately; Tianyi Cloud is its own legal person under the subsidiaries-with-own-USCC rule.
Its digital-human business is productized. The Yiyun Digital Human Solution (翼云数字人解决方案) ships high-fidelity interactive digital avatars with private deployment for virtual customer service, virtual anchors and virtual training instructors, documented in the company’s own operations manual with template-based likeness customization. Its AI product R&D director Chen Jin presented the digital-human product architecture — base, data, and interaction layers over 3D modelling and AI algorithms — at LiveVideoStackCon 2023, framing generative-AI digital humans as a service line on the company’s compute; a November 2024 patent application covers a real-time 3D digital-human interaction method; and analyst coverage of the parent flags Tianyi Cloud’s AIGC digital-human layout. In deployments, the metaverse digital human Xiaoyi (小翼) served as master of ceremonies for the February 2023 East-to-West Computing platform launch and Digital Ningxia conference that Tianyi Cloud co-organized, and provincial telecom reporting places its digital humans on the “national cloud base” alongside the group’s AI compute build-out.
