China Financial Certification Authority (中金金融认证中心有限公司, CFCA) is the national financial e-certification authority organised by the People’s Bank of China in 1998 and led by China UnionPay; the present legal person was registered on 2 March 2004 in Beijing’s Xicheng district (known until 2007 as 银联金融认证中心有限公司) with registered capital of RMB 1 billion, legal representative Zhao Hai (赵海) and a staff of around four hundred and sixty.

Its self-developed digital human A Zai (A仔) has grown from the company’s 2021 cartoon spokesperson into a deployed financial digital human applied at scale in identity verification and intelligent customer service, with cumulative transactions reported in the tens of millions. In April 2026 CFCA became the first financial-industry verification unit under the metaverse digital-human industry standards led by the China Electronics Standardization Institute — coverage across technology and finance outlets presented A Zai as the financial sector’s frontrunner in digital-human standards compliance — and the company presented A Zai at the 2026 Zhongguancun Forum metaverse session; the “A仔——CFCA数字人” case had earlier been selected as a brand-communication annual case in 2025.
