BYD (比亚迪股份有限公司), the Shenzhen maker of cars and batteries listed in Shenzhen and Hong Kong, is putting a digital human into its cars.

In September 2026 it announced 迪迪虾, which it calls a vehicle-level super agent: an interactive cartoon figure that fronts the in-car voice assistant answering to “你好小迪”, chats, remembers the driver’s preferences and acts on requests, running on a large model and its upgraded DiLink 150 system. Six models were named as the first to receive it, and BYD says the figure can be customised. BYD has also applied for a patent on an in-vehicle digital-human display method.
