Finance under the filing regime
Bank of Tianjin (天津银行股份有限公司) is a city commercial bank established on 6 November 1996 and registered at 15 Youdao Road in Tianjin’s Hexi District. It listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on 30 March 2016 under HKEX:01578, and held 223 branches as at 31 December 2024. Its registered code is an old-style all-digit one, printed by the bank itself in its published interim report.
Its position in the digital human value chain is as a customer, and a repeat one rather than a single buyer: it has run two separate procurements and awarded both.
The first ran in August 2025, when the bank published a tender with a budget of 796,000 yuan for a New Intelligent Digital Human Platform, seeking a vendor to build a customer-facing platform that would establish one virtual image across the organisation and carry it into intelligent customer service, business processing and video production. iFlytek (科大讯飞) won the award in September 2025 at 786,000 yuan on a six-month implementation timeline.
A second project followed around February 2026, adding digital human and intelligent assistant functions to the bank’s online customer service platform, and was awarded to Beijing Zhongke Jincai Technology Co., Ltd. (北京中科金财科技股份有限公司) at roughly 1.198 million yuan. Procurement notices in the same period also describe digital-intelligence marketing and operations models aimed at corporate rather than retail customers.
Separately, and unlike the procurement, the bank appears on the financing side of the sector: in February 2026 it was described, with the Agricultural Bank of China, as having issued lending in which a digital human intellectual property certificate (数字人"知识产权证书") was accepted as the pledged asset — an early instance of digital human work being treated as collateralisable property rather than as a service being bought.
